To mark Vasco da Gama's 126th anniversary, I wanted to pay tribute to the amazing team from the late 90s, featuring exceptional players like Romário, Juninho Pernambucano, Edmundo, and Felipe.
 
This golden era reached its peak with the 1998 Copa Libertadores win for their centenary—Vasco's first continental trophy, achieved after an impressive campaign that saw them defeat Barcelona (Ecuador) in the final. A captivating and offensive team that almost won the Intercontinental Cup but fell to Real Madrid's Raúl.

Since then, Vasco da Gama has not reached that level again but continues to uphold its humanistic and anti-racist values with pride and determination.
